Job requirements

About the Role

We're looking for an Agent Factory Product Engineer to help build the next generation of AI-powered enterprise solutions.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, building, and scaling intelligent agents across the Microsoft ecosystem. You'll transform defined business use cases into production-ready agentic solutions, leveraging modern AI technologies, Azure services, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) architecture.

As part of the Agent Factory team, you'll develop agents that can securely access enterprise systems, interact with business tools, manage context and memory effectively, and operate reliably at scale. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and AI leadership to ensure every solution delivers real business value while meeting enterprise standards for security, performance, and governance.

Beyond technical delivery, you'll bring product thinking and commercial awareness, helping to identify meaningful customer challenges, emerging AI opportunities, and relevant market trends. Your insights will contribute to shaping and refining the Agent Factory roadmap and backlog.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building practical AI applications and can take solutions from concept through to production deployment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, build and deploy AI agents that solve real customer and business problems.

  • Create agents that deliver value independently while contributing insights to a broader intelligence ecosystem.

  • Translate product requirements and use cases into scalable, production-ready solutions.

Develop MCP-Based Integrations

  • Build and operate Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that provide agents with secure access to tools, systems and enterprise data.

  • Define and implement tool interfaces, authentication mechanisms and resource access patterns.

  • Ensure agents can interact with enterprise services in a structured, secure and reliable way.

Integrate Enterprise Systems

Design Context, Memory & Intelligence

  • Define how agents manage memory, context and decision-making patterns.

  • Implement retrieval, reasoning and tool-use strategies that promote consistent and predictable behaviour.

  • Design guardrails that enable agents to operate safely and effectively within enterprise environments.

Contribute to the Agent Ecosystem

  • Develop supporting services including adapters, event processing capabilities and integration layers.

  • Enable agents to share insights and consume intelligence from a wider ecosystem of interconnected solutions.

  • Help shape future product direction by contributing technical expertise, customer insights and market observations.
