The opportunity

We are looking for a Python Backend Engineer to design and develop scalable, robust systems that support AI-driven customer service solutions. • Design and develop scalable backend systems supporting AI Assistants and Virtual Agents

• Build robust APIs and services for enterprise contact centre solutions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex feature requests into scalable, user-centric solutions

• Oversee the development of microservices, ensuring smooth and efficient implementation from start to finish

• Lead or participate in architecture discussions to create scalable and resilient solutions for enterprise-grade customer service applications

• Architect systems that handle high-volume customer interactions

• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate generative AI capabilities

• Writing (and reviewing) well-tested, clean and maintainable code

• Following software engineering best practices, while staying pragmatic (don't over-engineer)

• PostgreSQL for relational database management with complex migrations

• Celery/RabbitMQ for asynchronous task processing

• Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes for cloud infrastructure and orchestration

• Microservices architecture powering enterprise-grade applications

Required Experience

• A creative and pragmatic approach to problem-solving

• Solid background in Python backend development, including extensive work with Django, and other web frameworks such as Flask and FastAPI

• Extensive experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL), SQL, and database migrations

• Experience with Celery/RabbitMQ

• Hands-on experience with Cloud Services (such as Google Cloud) and Kubernetes

• Strong knowledge of API design and microservices architecture

• Experience building scalable, distributed systems

• Python, Java, C#, C++
